Ray & Tye Noorda Oral Health Sciences Building: Information & Construction Updates

The growing dentistry program will soon have a new home in the Ray and Tye Noorda Oral Health Sciences Building. When completed, the building will be a nearly 80,000-square-foot complex and encompass cutting edge classrooms, laboratories, and a dental clinic. Currently, construction of the building is scheduled to be completed by December of 2014. The building's physical location is in Research Park on Wakara Way, allowing for integration and collaboration with other health sciences programs.

Construction Updates:

  • 1/4/2014 Building of lower level walls is underway, all walls will be complete by the 20th of January.
  • 1/4/2014 Plumbing and electrical installation beneath building is near completion.
  • 11/11/2013 All walls in parking garage scheduled for completion.
  • 11/11/2013 Footing excavation of the building is complete.
  • 11/11/2013 Wall forms are underway.
  • 10/17/2013 Excavation of building site nearly finished.
  • 10/17/2013 Footings of the building will pour next week.
  • 10/17/2013 Concrete foundation of parking structure will be installed on the 28th of October.
  • 10/16/13 Area for parking structure excavated.
  • 10/16/13 Plumbing under parking structure underway.
  • 10/16/13 Pouring of the walls and support columns of the parking structure in progress. Project is on schedule.
