Tuition & Fees for the 2023–2024 Academic Year

Tuition and fees are payable at the time of registration and are due no later than the second Friday of each semester. Students are responsible for the cost of their computer, scrubs, and loupes. Tuition and fees are subject to change annually.*

Utah Resident

*Approximately 5 percent increase expected annually. Please view the tuition schedule for current information.

    First Deposit: A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required of each incoming student within 30 days of accepting the offer. This deposit is credited to the first year's tuition. 

    Second Deposit: A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required of each incoming student by March 31. This deposit is also credited to the first year's tuition. If the accepted student fails to register, or withdraws after registration, all deposits are forfeited to the university.

    Third Deposit: A final non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required of each incoming student by June 30. This deposit is credited to the first year's tuition. If the accepted student fails to register, or withdraws after registration, all deposits are forfeited to the university. 

    Financial aid commitment cannot be made until a student is accepted for admission. Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1 of the entering year.

    WICHE has approved the University of Utah School of Dentistry to participate in the Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP), effective beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year.

    This applies to applicants from the states of:

    • Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
    • Hawaii
    • Montana
    • New Mexico
    • North Dakota
    • Wyoming
